Villa El Salvador, Lima - Peru

Church Plant
God has opened the door for Anthony to Pastor this little church in Villa El Salvador.
A couple of years ago, God placed it on the heart of a native pastor in the area to establish this ministry. For the past two years, while pastoring his own church, the native Pastor has grown a ministry here working with around 60 children on Saturdays.
With God's help we will be taking the church plant and growing the ministry as well as starting other ministries in the area.
Inside The Church
This is the inside of the little red church. There is a lot of work to be done, but there is so much potential here. It is the Agan's vision to eventually add on to the church to make a soup kitchen to feed families in the community. What a great opportunity and ministry this would be. As people come to the church to receive food for their physical needs, they will also receive the bread of life for their spiritual needs.

About Villa El Salvador
The population of Villa El Salvador is around 600,000. Because of the extreme poverty, many homes suffer domestic violence. There is a lot of drug use and alcoholism in the area which is a contributing factor as well. Sadly many of the children in this area are abused, neglected, and even abandoned.
There are around 30,000 people with disabilities in Villa El Salvador. Here, the people are very superstitious and believe if a home has someone with a disability that they are cursed. Those with disabilities are shunned and kept out of sight. Jesus died for the people here like He did for the rest of the world. He has called our family to share that good news.
The Great Need In Villa El Salvador
A great view of Villa El Salvador can be seen just at the top of the hill right behind the church building.
Each one of the buildings in this picture represent multiple souls that will one day step out into eternity. Far above the need for food, clothes, or various supplies, the greatest need in Villa El Salvador is Jesus Christ and the salvation from sin that He offers through His finished work on the cross.
Please pray for the Agan family as we follow the Lord's call to carry the gospel message to the lost in Villa El Salvador, Peru.
